416 – Apple Walnut Salad & Argan Dressing / سلطة التفاح و الجوز صلصة أركان
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 tablespoon Argan oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 apple
- 1 lettuce & other greens
- 1/2 cup of raw unsalted walnuts
Step 1 – the dressing:
1- Roll the lemon, slice, and juice, Filter the lemon juice to get rid of the pulp.
2- Do the same with the oranges, to get fresh orange juice.
3- In a large bowl, combine the orange juice, the lemon juice, argan oil, sugar and salt. Whisk.
4- Pour the dressing in a bottle, and keep it in the fridge until you are ready to serve the salad.
Step 2 – the salad:
Note: 20 minutes before serving the dinner, make the salad.
1- Chop your lettuce and greens into bite size chunks, and place in a large plate.
2- Peel the apple, cut and remove the core. Slice the apple into bite size chunks. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the apple slices so they don’t turn brown. You want them to look fresh!
3- Cut the creamy cheese into bite-size chunks, and place the cheese in a baking plate covered with parchment paper. Bake for 5 minutes in a hot oven!
1- Add the dressing to the greens, and toss.
2- Top the greens with the apple slices, and add a bit of dressing to cover them.
3- Make your salad crunchy and sexy with some walnuts!
4- For the finale, top everything with the warm creamy cheese.
